Hi there, Was wondering if anyone knows if there is luggage storage available in Assisi? Was looking at stopping at Assisi on the way from Rome to Florence and spending the day there. Seems silly to try to do a day trip from either Rome or Florence when it's really on the way...

Don't know if it has changed, but a couple of years ago I was able to leave my bag in the tobac at the station. Not a checked luggage room, just a place to store the bag for a few hours (and a few Euro). You'd need to ensure you get back before they close; I only left my bag for an hour or so, as I was leaving Assisi after a stay of several days. It's a beautiful town and I hope you get to visit.

Nancy, I believe that the station in Assisi has a Deposito Bagagli, but I haven't been able to find any details or prices. The Guidebook states that "you can check bags at the Newstand for €3 / 12 hours". I'm not sure where the Newstand is located? When is your trip taking place? I'll be there in about a month, so can provide more current information then. Happy travels!

The newsstand is next to the bar, as I recall.
