Hello all, I am traveling in December and Stopping in Assisi: any recommend about a good hostel there? Also, how much time is required to see the town? Thanks for your advice.

Ellis, Do you have a guidebook? A good guide will help you find lodging as well as determine how much time to spend, Rick Steves does such a good job of laying out options from budget to splurge.
Check on monasterystays.com and see if Instituto Beata Angelina is available. Right across the street from the Basilica. One full day is the minimum to see the town.
Ellis, You keep asking on this forum about hostels in different cities, but many of the folks who post here may be more knowledgable about budget and moderately priced hotels in those cities. When my young adult kiddos were/are traveling in Europe, they relied/rely upon a couple of websites directly aimed at the hosteling crowd: www.hihostels.com and hostels.com. The first is the website for Hosteling International, which more or less sets a basic standard for the hostels that they include. The second is a more general website. You may well be aware of these websites, but I mention them because if you have not, they both include lots of reviews, and may be a better resource to you than one or two mentions, here and there, on this forum. Good luck!
Another one is HostelWorld.
