I like both Hotel Berti and Hotel Pallotta in Assisis but which would be in the best location for seeing all the sites?

I loved Hotel Pallotta; they have a sister property, La Fortezza, down a series of staircases from the Rocca Maggiore (the hotel is on the opposite side of the road from La Pallotta, a few steps from the main square where one of the mini-buses stops).

Honestly you can walk from one end of town to the other in 20 minutes. To me, it doesn't seem to matter where the hotel is, except to keep it off a noisy street! We stayed at Hotel Sole in September, and I wouldn't recommend it, as it was pretty noisy. (it wasn't OUR choice, since we were on a bike tour, so it was the hotel the tour company had us in - I let them know it wasn't very good) We walked all over town, down small roads, all the way up to the remaining tower from the wall around city, just on the outside of town.
