We stayed at Istituto Beata Angelina, a nun operated establishment right across from the basilica. Our room had a superb view of it. We booked thru www.monasterystays.com

For a tour guide, possibly Anne Robichaud of annesitaly.com might work for you. If you are interested in one of her tours, it’s best to WhatsApp her, although she answers emails quickly too. We’ve booked her for the Assisi tour, so looking forward to it.
