My wife isn't in a wheelchair, but can't navigate more than 6-7 steps. Will she be able to get from the train station to ruins of Ostia Antica?.
Thank you
Sorry, but I have to ask. How will she walk around the Ostia Antica site?
Rome, in general, can not be called and accessible place for people with problems to walk. You should contact them directly to see if its accessible at all.
You will have to go over a pedestrian bridge with many steps to get from the train station to the site. The site itself is huge and has lots of uneven walkways, not smooth sidewalks. Some sights within are hard to appreciate without climbing hard, uneven stone steps. Sadly, I think it would be very difficult for her.
Thanks very much for your responses. She was able to get around Pompei a few years ago, but I think we may need to bypass Ostia.

Sage Travel seems to think it's more accessible than Pompeii. You might drop them a note and see how they might recommend getting around steps?
I think you would be very frustrated trying to see Ostia Antica. So much of it is uneven ground, and I don’t remember much shade as spots to rest. We sat down on the amphitheater stone seats for a rest while we were exploring.
Gdemko- I sent you a private message about traveling with walking issues.
Thanks again for all your suggestions. They've been a great help.
