Hello, I have another question about reservations. When trying to book a Doge's Secret Itineraries tour online, I am asked for my passport number. Is that standard procedure for purchasing reservations online? I have several museums to book and this makes me a little nervous. Thank You,

When you arrive for the tour, they will check the passport number which you gave them against your actual passport, to make sure you are the correct person who booked the tour. It's a security thing, I wouldn't worry.

I agree that it's nothing to be concerned about. After all, what nefarious things could they do with that number? It's not like a credit card number, after all. Happy travels. (You're going to love Venice.)
