As a visitor, am I allowed in museums that require Green Pass?

I'm going to Italy end of December. I'm seeing a lot of museums say that you are required to have an EU Green Pass. For example, from the Doge's Palace website: "Accesso nei Musei consentito solo con Green Pass https://palazzoducale.visitmuve.it/".

As I understand it, the green pass is not available to USA citizens. Will I be allowed into museums with my vaccination card?

Your CDC card and your passport serve as your “Green Pass”

We were in Italy in late September and all of October this year. Not in Venice, but in museums elsewhere, our CDC cards were asked for, and worked. I said my CDC card was the USA “white pass.” Only one museum, in Spoleto, wanted to see our I.D. in addition to the CDC card. Two locations, one in Bologna and one in Rome, had temperature monitoring devices at the entrance, and we had our forehead temperatures scanned before we showed our CDC cards. Other museums just wanted vaccination proof. Of course, that was 2 months ago, and time and location changes could mean different requirements.

Enjoy your trip!

You just need your CDC card and some type of picture ID. Your Driver's License will work fine.
