Has anyone done this tour, or any ArtViva tours and what are your thoughts?
We did two ArtViva tours in Florence including the Uffizi, both well done. One reason we booked the tour was to avoid long ticket lines. Also, it helped us to make good use of,oir limited time. The guide was an Art History grad student.
Thanks for the reply Suki. I too like the skip the line aspect and having a guide to explain what I'm looking at while touring.
Last info I had was that the Vasari corridor is closed, check the official website for info.
Corridor is currently open (just reopened for a few weeks).
remember that while booking a tour does let you skip the line, so does just buying your ticket in advance, and then if you want a tour you can book one through the official site for much much less than most 3rd party tours (I don't know if the uffizi or the corridor offer official tours (many sites in Italy do). I would check to see if there is an official tour before booking with a 3rd party. Also never let "skip the line" be part of the reasoning for choosing a 3rd party (because like I said above you can skip the line just by buying your tickets in advance.
Thanks everyone. Big sigh, I just reread the description and Vassari Corridor will be closed for several years after Dec. 1, 2016. Only open for a lucky few from Oct. 1 to Dec. 1, 2016. Hope someone on the forum gets to use this information.
