I am going to Italy in June and I want to surprise my boyfriend with an art/craft workshop where we can make something and take it home as a souvenir. We are going to Venice, Florence, and Rome. I was hoping for some type of glass mosaic/ stained glass window/ceramic type of class rather than a painting class. Been searching forever and having a hard time finding somewhere. Any suggestions?

In Venice there are workshops to make Carnevale Masks. I believe they are booked thru viator.com if you can't find a place to book directly.
You can google for workshops in each city that you are interested in.

I did a fantastic one day mosaic workshop with Koko Mosaico in Ravenna three years ago. Very small class, extremely well taught by a great English-speaking artist instructor. I left with an 8" square framed mosaic piece that I had created and with the knowledge of materials and skills to continue making my own mosaics at home. Ravenna would be a long day trip from Florence, but if you do it as an overnight trip you could spend the first day seeing the magnificent mosaics in Ravenna
