Arriving in Venice on 9/9 do we need to be concerned about places being closed?

Arriving in Venice on 9/9 do we need to be concerned about places being closed? What about Monday's are places open on Monday's?

Also I heard this was a great trip to take a water bus to Mazzorbo and walk through the vineyard to Burano and then take water bus to Murano, any thoughts. Thanks

Coming back from Burano, there may be a long line for the vaporetto and you might not get on the first boat. But if you walk back to Mazzorbo, they will always let you board, and you can get a spot with a view of the lagoon.
