Arriving in San Gimignano on a Sunday

We will be arriving in San Gimignano on a Sunday, March 29th. We're staying at an agriturismo not too far away. However, because of possibly arriving around 3pm, does anyone know if restaurants are open during this time on Sundays? If so, any suggestions on restaurants there? Thanks!

Except in the major cities (maybe), restaurants in Italy have very set hours for meals. 3:00 is too late to get lunch. Even 2:30 is pushing it. However, you can probably find bars or cafes which will have sandwiches, foccacia slices, and other light fare, in addition to liquid refreshment. Another possibility, if you're driving, is to stop at one of the highway restaurants. These are surprisingly decent.

Thank you! Yes, we are driving and I was wondering about stopping on the highway for eating.

Adding to Rosalyn's comment, it is traditional for a restaurant in Italy to be closed from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. This is not really observed in the large cities but you could be surprised at how much it is observed in the smaller cities and towns.
