Arrive Pisa, Depart Naples.....best Itinerary?

We are joining family for a week in Grosetto and need advice for three days prior and after. We arrive in Pisa and we depart from Naples. The choices are overwhelming. We enjoy food, wine, art, architecture, beautiful sceneries. We do not enjoy crowds specific to cruise types, since we live in a town dwarfed by cruise travelers every summer.

Would anyone be able to offer suggested itineraries for three days on the front end with the Pisa arrival and three days on the back end with the Naples departure?

Yes, we fly into Pisa Airport and depart Naples airport. We have considered Cinque Terre but are rethinking that due to crowds. We have also considered a farm stay in Northern Tuscany, but do not know if that would be more of the same considering our week in Grosetto.

On the back end - we have considered Rome, Naples abs Sorrento.

This is our first trip to Italy. But hopefully not our last.

We travel June 2019.

If I understand your itinerary correctly, you will arrive in Pisa, have 3 days before going to Grosseto for a week and then another 3 days before your flight home from Naples. Based on that, I would suggest staying in Lucca before going to Grosseto and afterwards going directly to Naples and staying there. Lucca is a great town and allows for easy day trips to Pisa, Florence and the beach. I would suggest taking the 8:19 direct Intercity train from Grosseto to Naples Centrale. It takes only slightly longer than the fastest trains (just over 4 hours versus just under 4 hours) and requires no changes. And pre-purchased Super Economy tickets could be quite inexpensive. I suggest staying in Naples because it's convenient for both your departure and day trips to places like Pompeii.
