We are arriving at the airport in Rome early on Aug. 1. Can we do some Rome sites before boarding our ship at 2:00? What do we do with our luggage for the day?

If you take the Leonardo Express train from the airport to the Termimi station in Rome you can check your baggage there and at least head out to see the Colosseum and maybe the Trevi fountain. The Leonardo Express takes about 20 minutes from the airport to Termini station in Rome. The cost last year was about 11 euros per person. It's also inexpensive to check your bags at Termini station and they are very safe. Have fun!!

It also depends on how early, early is. You will need an hour to an hour and half to get to the cruise port from Termini. If 200 pm is a drop dead time then it will be tight. If boarding from from 2 to 5 or something like that, then it will work a little better.
