Arrival time at Uffizi and Duomo Tower

I have two days in Florence in September. I plan to start day one at the Uffizi and day two climbing the Duomo tower. I plan to have a Firenze card I will purchase when I arrive late afternoon the previous day. I would like to get there early enough to avoid even the lines for security. How much ahead of the 8:15 opening time at each place should I arrive to be first or early in line?

I don't know how anyone can advise you on that with any degree of certainty. All information would be anecdotal. For example, in my experience, if the museum opens at 8:15 and it's a very popular one, I try to get there 10 minutes ahead, if my reservation is for 8:15. But a large group with an 8:15 reservation which gets there early can leave you in line behind that group.

There is no way to avoid security lines; it depends on how many scanners are working/staffed, and how many people get there before you do. But if you have the earliest appointment, or if you show up with a pass so you can skip the ticket line, 10 minutes for security would seem about right.

I had the card, skipped the line at the Uffizi mid day eta no reservation
