Hi We are arriving in Rome from US on July 26 9:30am. We are arranging for a car to pick us up. How much time should we allow? They charge a per hour fee if we are late. Not sure what average time to get through customs is. We are not checking bags. Thank you

If the plane is on time, you'll be out the door in 30 minutes if you do not check bags. Passport control is usually quite fast. The service should NOT charge you if your flight is late. That's a bunch of bunk. They can monitor flight arrival times. You might check out www.romecabs.com. They wait up to 1 hour and 10 minutes past flight arrival time at no extra charge.

Chris, my wife and I just got back from Europe and we entered through Italy. Make sure they stamp your passport! They just waved us through as well as customs area and we were held in "Passport Prison" for 15 minutes in Amsterdam when we departed because the customs agent in Rome was too lazy to do his job.

Laurel, thanks for the info. I will switch to Romecabs. Don't want to pay any more then needed. Steven, I will make sure to get stamp in passport.
