Arrival at Marco Polo w/ carryon only to bus area

I am working on my Venice itinerary and trying to get a feel for time on my arrival day in Italy. My flight is scheduled to land at Marco Polo at 1pm on a Wednesday. I will be traveling with carry on luggage only and am wondering how long it may take me to get to the bus area for transport to Piazzale Roma where I will need to get water transport to the Rialto area. I know no one has that crystal ball with an answer, but a rough estimate would be welcomed. I have such limited time in Venice that I am trying to make the most of.
Thanks in advance!
I looked at the water taxi prices again, but refuse to pay 140 euros. I'm already splurging on a number of things, but this will not be one of them.

No need to take an expensive water taxi-just take a vaporetto to Rialto
Vaporetto is like a water bus
Be sure to validate your ticket
They run every few minutes

I’d guess you are at P Roma by 2:30 if your flight arrives on time and Passport Control goes quickly ( or have you already entered Schengen?)

The bus departure area at the airport is right outside the arrivals area - just a couple minutes walk. You can buy a ticket for the bus (there are two different companies) inside the arrivals area at their service counters. They also sell vaporetto passes of varying lengths there. These passes will most likely save you a lot of money as individual ride tickets are expensive. Plus they are convenient! You validate the pass every time you board a vaporetto.

From Piazzale Roma, it’s an easy vaporetto ride down the Grand Canal to the Rialto stop.

An often overlooked option for areas that are not San Marco is the Alilaguna. You can take the Linea Arancio (Orange Line) from the dock beside the airport to the Rialto bridge stop in just under an hour for 15e.

With carryon luggage this should be easy enough to manage. It's certainly not as much of a status symbol as coming by water taxi from the airport but then neither is the bus. ;)

Venice is amazing, have a great visit!

Another option is the shared water taxi, at €32 per person. We have used this three times, and it’s a wonderful, easy way to arrive in Venice. Their desk is in the main terminal. You can reserve a time in advance, but they are very understanding if your flight is delayed. We have just walked up each time, let them know which vaporetto stop we needed, waited for perhaps 10 minutes until they have six or eight other people, walked to the dock and found our water taxi. I haven’t used the bus/water transportation option, but the shared taxi might be faster, but a bit more expensive perhaps? Just our experience and might not be what you’re looking for.

Thank you all! I have a number of options. I wish my flight arrived early in the morning, but I'll take what I have and make the most of it. My goal is to get to my Airbnb as quickly as possible so I can begin exploring the sights that can only be visited during set hours/days.

It depends when you are traveling. If it is a busy day the queue for vaporetto can be long, so maybe one / one and half hour.
