Ariccia?

I would like to visit Ariccia from Rome. I read an account of taking the metro A to the end of the line, Anagnina, then boarding the COTRAL bus and getting off in the town. Sounds like something easy enough to do. Then, I read another account which stated the bus does not go into the town but rather stops beneath the bridge over the valley. Then one takes an elevator to the town. So, now I am confused.

If someone has been to Ariccia and could share information, I would be grateful. It would be nice to know what to expect.

First of all you need to take the bus that goes to either Genzano or Velletri.

I know there is an inclined elevator (a sort of inclined mini people mover/funicular) that connects the parking lot down below to the historical center on top, however I don't know where the bus stops exactly. If it stops near the city parking lot, just take the elevator up. I don't think it's free anymore, but it won't break your bank.
