Hi all - does anyone have suggestions on an Argiturismo in Sorrento/Amalfi area? Lots of walking/hiking not a problem. Also, after Sorrento we're spending a week in Tuscany and will be renting a car. We'd thought we'd wait on the car until we got to Tuscany but now wondering if we should get the car before Amalfi - how easy is it to get around without a vehicle? Thanks!
I don't know of many agriturismos in the area, being that it is mostly mountains and such, but the agriturismo I stayed in was a bit of a ways up the mountain from one of the stops a few before the end of the circumvesuviana, about 8 min from there, and a 20 min drive from the agriturismo to Sorrento proper.....if I were on the coast, I would want to be close to the water or a city for activities and leave the agriturismo for Tuscany
We don't list any agriturismos in this region as they are mostly in the Tuscany area but here is a helpful website for agriturismo's all across Italy: www.agriturismoitaly.it. There's no need to have a car in the Amalfi Coast. The driving can be a bit stressful and it's easy enough to get around via bus, taxi or boat. Plus you can enjoy the scenery better if you don't have to drive!
