Loved your recent talk in Walnut Creek, Ca; I was unable to ask this at the end of the evening. We are huge fans of B&B's and gites in France; but unfamiliar with their Italian counterparts; what is a good way to search for agritourismos? Any especially good websites you can recommend? Thanks for all your good info and showing us "the back doors".

good start is: www.poderevignola.com in Sieci, just 10km from Florence.
Laura, from your posting, it sounds as if you think Rick responds to questions on this board. He does not. Happy travels.
I love agriturismo.net. They have recently remodeled their website and it is very easy to search in any region for very specific or very general needs. They also have an option to request booking availablilty from multiple similar agriturismos at one request.
Ciao!
When we search for agris we use Rick's guidebooks, the Graffiti wall (http://www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/graffiti59.html), bed and breakfast in Italy:

We stayed at www.terredinano.com in May. It is at the corner of Montepulciano and Montchiello, very near the famous Agriturismo Cretaiole that Rick recommends in Tuscany. It has a villa and several separate apartments. We stayed with our friends in La Casetta. HEAVEN!!! Check it out on Trip Advisor. I think it is rated #3. Huge breakfast provided if you stay in the main villa.
