Need some ideas for a spot to stop for two nights on our way from Arezzo to Rome. I had selected Orvieto, but then realized we've been there before, and I'd like to try a different town to explore the area a little. This will be the end of our trip. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe Pitigliano? Very dramatic hill town. We stayed at Agriturismo la Collina near there which has a good breakfast included and nice restaurant for dinner. The natural hotsprings near Saturnia are less than an hour away and offer an opportunity to soak and relax.

Since Arezzo to Rome is a rather short trip,(2 hrs 20 m) why don’t you drive east to Umbria to Spello, Bevagna or Montefalco for the two days? We spent two weeks in Spello and enjoyed it there. The driving time to Rome is about the same. We found Umbria less crowded, fewer tourists than Tuscany.
