We will be in Tuscany for a week and are planning our day trips. We are thinking of going to Arezzo but would like to get suggestions/opinions before we do so; would appreciate your input. Thank you
What kind of suggestions are you looking for? What are your interests, and what do you want to see or do while there?
We spent a lovely day there, just taking in the art and architecture. And were lucky enough to have been there on a day with the antique fair running.
Arezzo is a pleasant place for a day trip - here's what we did there in one day:

Arezzo is certainly visitable in a day trip (plenty of trains from Florence can get you there in about one hour or less).
You can get ideas in the Arezzo official tourism website below:

I spent 2 days in Arezzo as a stop between Rome and Florence and loved it. It’s a good town to walk in, but be prepared for some hills. I went to the Arezzo Cathedral, the National Museum of Medieval and Modern Art (check schedule for days and times it’s open), and the Basilica di San Francesco for the amazing frescoes. I definitely recommend going there!
Thank you so much for your replies. Arezzo sounds like a perfect day trip! Much appreciated
I enjoyed a day trip to Arezzo. I had to switch my schedule around when I found out that the day I'd planned, Saturday, was the day of a monthly market and was advised to avoid it.
I did a day trip there from Florence in 2022.
I specifically went on the day of the antique market and really enjoyed it!
A great atmosphere, and it was a lovely dry warm autumn day.
Be aware that it is quite a hill to walk up to the top of the town.
There’s a small park at the top with views over a bit of the countryside.
In the main piazza I had a nice lunch while people watching.
I thought it was a lovely town.
