I have heard there is a great antique market in Arezzo (I think that's where it is) Does anyone know what day of the week it is, and where it's located in relation to the train station there? Thanks!
The antique market is fun, we were in Cortona in 2004 and visited the market. We took the train from Camucia to Arezzo and back. If I recall correctly, the outskirts of the market start just a little beyond the train station. it reminds one a little of the big Paris flea market. Newer things and trinkets on the outskirts, the real antiques as you get further into the market. My friend bought three beautiful olive oil jars that we lugged around Arezzo all day and then on the train back to Cortona. It's on the weekend. I think it is the first full weekend of the month. In other words, not necessarily the first Sunday, it has to be the first Saturday and Sunday, if I am remembering correctly.
There's lots of information available if you google "arezzo antique market". Good luck.
Thank you for the advice! Appreciate the input!
