Hello, we are looking to go to CT and Florence in September, and enjoy the warm weather of the area. We plan to stay in CT for about 3-nights, Florence 3 nights and have about another 3 nights. What recommendations do you have as to towns to stay in---we are looking for about 1 more town. We have visited Rome, Venice, Sicily, Naples and the Amalfi Coast and Milan in the past.

If you don't plan to have a car, use Florence as a base to see Tuscany. If you plan to rent a car, move to a location in the Province of Siena.

Look at Lucca, Montecatini Terme or Bologna.

I would either stay in Tuscany near Siena, or go to Bologna and add another region - different architecture, food, wine.
