This will be our second trip to Italy and Rome. This time we're traveling with another couple and we're wondering if anyone has visited Rome on June 29th? It is crazy or would it be worthwhile to experience?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Why crazy?
Lots of nice events on that day, religious and not so religious.
We were wondering if it might be too busy or over-crowded.
Thanks,

Here's an account from some of the activities on that day in 2013. http://www.nola.com/travel/index.ssf/2013/06/romans_celebrate_the_feast_of.html
Sounds like a blast. If anything, it would make me more likely to want to be there that day. And Rome is large enough that you can always get away from any temporary crowds, if that's part of your concern.
If you survived the Rose Festival in Portland, you'll probably survive St. Peter and Paul day in Rome.
I love being in a city during a festival or feast day. Last year I went to Bolsena for the feast day of Santa Cristina and it was a blast. Look over the scheduled events (hotel can help), and choose what you want to participate in or avoid.
