We're doing a weekly car rental from Milan Malpensa airport beginning next week. Any feedback on these companies will be appreciated.
I've used Sicily By Car in the past. They're ok, although their cars sometimes were old and smelled of stale smoke. But they were cheaper. A friend of mine got a new car that got a flat--I think he curbed the tire-=and they were not helpful, didn't sed a replacement. I helped him limp to a tire store and he bought a replacement.
Sicily by Car is reputable enough. Iβve used it with no issues.
Centauro is a Spanish rental company that has been around for several years (since the 1970s I think). They are big in Spain but their presence in Italy is recent (no more than 5 years) and limited to a handful of places. I have no experience with them so I canβt comment on their service. Check some Spanish travel forum to see their reviews.
Sicily By Car is ok - the counter lines are tedious sometimes. I would avoid Centauro -they are fairly new to Italy, yet the complaints began quickly. They are a Spanish company where they seem to have a below average reputation. This Italian report was eye-opening: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187849-i143-k11534348-Centauro_rent_a_car-Milan_Lombardy.html#91694957
Another option is to use Kemwel. I have used them multiple times and have found they are reliable and helpful if you have problems.
I feel their plans are easily understood and self explanatory.
I rented a car through Sicily by Car last spring out of FCO and had no issues what so ever. I believe they were the cheapest by far.
Thanks for all help!
