Hi , our family of 4 (parents & 2 teenagers )will be spending Christmas in Rome , 12-23 to 12-28. Looking for a centrally located & safe apt as we know its going to be chilly. Have been looking at Key to Italy apts - anyone have any recommendations on apts or experience with Key to Italy. Hotel is an option too although it seems that our $1500 5 day budget seems better suited to an apt.
Thanks for any help you can offer :)
Keep in mind that those websites (vrbo and airbnb) don't do all that much vetting of who gets a listing on their site. If possible, choose an apartment that has a good number of recent positive reviews. For airbnb, be sure to read the cancellation policy closely before paying. Using those criteria, we've rented through both vrbo and airbnb and been pleased with the specific apartments.
Several friends of mine have used VRBO and highly recommend it. I also hear that arbnb is very good. They are both apt. rentals for short or long term.
A friend uses VRBO for 3 or 4 day stays all over Italy and has never been disappointed.
Hi! We are staying here next May 2014, in the two-bedroom condo "Colosseo" because of the central location, transportation, Campo de Fiori/Piazza Navona plus all the great reviews on TripAdvisor etc. Max and Lavinia respond quickly to e-mails. http://www.romasuite.com/ENindex.html http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187791-d3731565-Reviews-Al_Centro_Storico_Roma_Suite-Rome_Lazio.html Happy travels!
