Anyone in Rome the 21 of April , this sounds like fun.. I was just reading on a couple of websites and this info. popped up about April 21 as it is Rome's Birthday. Fireworks over the Tiber River , bands at Piazza del Campidoglio , viewing on hillsides around the Forum , sounds wonderful !

We are arriving in Rome on April 20. I Googled Rome's Birthday, but didn't see a much specific information. Keep me posted! We are doing the Twilight Tour of Travestere at 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. on April 21, so we may miss some of the activities.

The info. said the best viewing is around the hills near Forum , Avertine ? area. There is supposed to be Roman , gladiator's fighting at the Forum , bands playing at Piazza Campidoglio. I think it is only for the 20 is my understanding

The Aventine Hill is near the Circo Massimo, there is a nice garden with a terrace that has views of the city.
