It looks like St. Peter's and the Vatican Museums are OPEN on Liberation Day, April 25, 2026. Anyone have tips from traveling in Rome on this national holiday?
Many shops may be closed although not really in the city center where most are open. Restaurants will be open. Most museums will be open. Basically the only things that close are schools, businesses, offices (private or government), banks.
And not for nothing, St Peters and the Vatican aren't Italian, although Vatican City is surrounded by Italy.
