We're new at this...we'll be purchasing a SIM card in Italy and therefore be getting an Italian phone number. When you replace your current SIM card with the Italian one, do all of your apps still work on your phone, such as Skype and Viber?

apps work for the kind of phone they were built-android or iphone for the most part. Nothing to do with the sim card (AFAIK)

yes they will all work perfectly ... its data. Skype calls will not be in Italian. :-)

The SIM card contains your phone number and account information, and has nothing to do with your Apps. They should work just fine with a different SIM card.
