Appian Way trail ride

I just found out about this hour trail ride today. Has any one done it? SIL doesn’t ride but it sounds beginner friendly. http://www.ridingancientrome.it/our-riding-tours/
We have one tour scheduled per day and don’t want to over schedule. We want time to stroll ancient Rome and enjoy the sights.
Thanks for your help.

I'm not going to be much help because I've not done it, nor ever ridden a horse - however I have both walked and cycled the Appian Way near Rome.
If it is ancient sites you are after, I can think of few places better - the ancient road is lined with ruins, tombs and in some places the remains of the old Roman aquaducts. There were flocks of sheep alongside (and at times on) the road - it was timeless. One of my favourite experiences of our last Rome trip.
