I have about 5 hours planned for Via Appia on one of our 5 1/2 days in Rome, doing a self-guided tour based on Rick's Rome guide. It will not give us time to go to the Aquaduct Park, but should allow time for a leisurely lunch. Now I am looking at a tour by Enjoy Rome, 3 hours, that by bus and on foot (I suspect relatively little walking) covers the Catacombs of San Sebastiano or San Callisto, the Tomb of Cecilia Metella (exterior visit), the Old Appian Way and the Aqueducts. Has anyone taken this tour? We like to cover a lot of ground, but I generally avoid bus tours. It's 40 euros per person, by the way, including necessary admissions. Any feedback or experience? This will be the only activity in our 5 1/2 days that takes us away from Centro Storico and the Vatican.
