Appartamento La Scala In Rome

A couple of people have mentioned Cross-Pollinate.com; does anyone know anything about Appartamento La Scala in the Trastevere area of Rome? I found it on that website and it looks really good so I am looking for some feedback. Also, do the people who run the site/rentals assist with other services such as arranging tours etc? I like the idea of having someone there to help as I am a first time traveler to Rome. Thanks

Thanks!

You can find reviews of many apartments on http://www.slowtrav.com/ as well as reviews of rental agencies. I have only heard good things about cross-pollinate. However, be aware that Rome can get hot in the summer so an air-conditioned apartment might be nice. AC is not a common thing and many apartments that I've seen on cross-pollinate do not have it.

we used cross-pollinate this spring for rome..and they were very helpful...when my husband called they spoke to him in french, and when i called, asking if the apt included sheets, they answered in english, and promised to clarify the posting. i can't answer the tour question, but i think not. they focus on the apts..our favorite was near St Marie Maggoire, relatively short bus ride from Termini..and might (?) be a better location for a first-timer..I'll dig out the info if you want. Owner of apt English speaking..and private roof terrace

Just got back (last night) and my room in Rome was through cross-pollinate. It was everything that was posted on their website, actually bigger than I imagined from the pictures. And included more than was advertised. I stayed in the Rose di Bin guesthouse. For the price it had everything I needed. I walked to the Colisseum every morning in only 10 minutes, unless I stopped for extra espressos.

Our cross-pollinate apt was Casa Villa on Via Giovanni Lanza..We loved our rooftop terrace..and even the view from the kitchen was good

I did not rent that apartment, Appartamento La Scala, but ended up going through sleepinitaly.com with a place near Piazza Navona. It was amazing.

good luck and hope it is a great stay for you

I didn't see anyone mention it yet. Tripadvisor.com is a great place to get some reviews from people who have stayed at any lodging you are interested in.
