RS recommends an audio guide for the Milan Duomo. I cannot find any info about it on the Duomo website. They do have info about their official Duomo app with video and audio guides. Has anyone had any experience with it? I am worried that my connection might not be the best. We have had some connectivity issues in the past in Italy (two years ago) and were not able to use the app.

I used the free Rick Steves audio tour of the Milan Duomo and Duomo neighborhood. I thought it was excellent for the Duomo roof, and for the inside and outside of the Duomo and also pretty good for an overview of the surrounding buildings including Galleria Vittoria Emanuel and the outside of La Scala. You can find free RS audio tours for Italy here and then scroll down to Milan. (If this link doesn't work, just go to the "Watch, Read, Listen" line on the menu on the side of this forum page.). The auidio guide is set up so that you can play it in whatever order you want. I did the surrounding area part first before my entrance time for the rooftop but you can skip around for what you need.

Thank you. I definitely plan to use it. However, Rick Steves in his Milan guidebook recommends using an audio guide (available to rent from the Duomo) in addition to his own. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it or downloaded the app that is referenced on the duomo website.
