Has anyone had good luck with apartment rentals in Venice? I will be needing an apartment that sleeps 2 in mid-June 2009. I will need to rent for approximately one week.
There are several agencies. Here are a couple to get you started:
We have rented from these folks with good luck:
Not rented personally with these folks, but have seen good reviews:
You can also just google venice italy aparment rentals.
Hey, Ron, thanks a lot! This will get me started....
Try this website: www.cross-pollinate.com It is a bed and breakfast and apartment booking site owned and operated by an American family living in Rome. I have used them many times and they are fantastic to work with. They have places in Rome, Florence and Vence. Prices are very reasonable also. Have fun!!!
Anita, the 'hotel' Pensione Guerrato get raves from RSteves and I believe they also own a rental apartment across the Rialto Bridge from the Pensione. We stayed at the hotel in April, enjoyed it, and if their apartment is anywhere near as good, should work for you. Do a search (above) on this site for 'Guerrato Venice' and you should find info. Failing that, PGuerrato has a site as well.
Hi Anita,
I rented an apartment in Venice for one month through www.holiday-velvet.com
They were excellent and have tons of apartments in Venice. Good Luck.
I've been out of town and am just now checking these messages. Thank you so much for the good tips!
You may want to check with Pensione La Calcina. they have several lovely, new apartments in a quiet courtyard building at reasonable (especially for Venice) rates. A real plus is that you will be able to use all the amenities of their hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there
Denise at www.venicerentals.com is very helpful. I liked the looks of the apartment in Campo Sant'Angelo but alas, it was out of my budget!
Hi, check out www.vrbo.com/155941. We stayed in June last year. Excellent, highly recommend this place. You won't find a better place for the money. I researched it thoroughly last year before booking. It was great. Any ?'s email me directly.
The Hotel Campiello has lovely apartments with lovely bathrooms and air-conditioning. The hotel is in Rick's Venice book. The apartments are new and close to everything.
Hi Anita,
We successfully booked apartments throughout Italy from www.VRBO.com. Good luck and have a great trip!!
