Apartments in CT(Manarola)???

Looking for a nice, clean, furnished apartment or B&B to rent in Manarola for my fiancee and myself next June. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Was looking at A Casa. Has anyone used this rental agency agency before? Prices look to good to be true. Thanks!!!

Danny,

You might also try Mar-Mar Rooms in Riomaggiore (it's the next village to the south of Manarola). I can't recall if they offer a "furnished apartment", but have a look at their web site or send them an E-mail.

Good luck and happy travels!

Hello, I'm writing from Manarola. You can find several information about the area and accommodations on this site about the Cinque Terre. For your specific request you can check also this site for Bed and Breakfast Manarola. they provide B&B and apartment accommodations.

Best regards

Andrew

My experience in renting an apartment in Vernazza might help you. I didn't choose to rent in advance.

When we arrived and walked from the RR station into town several touts approached us asking if we wanted a room.

I told one we wanted an apartment; so he took us up some steps to look at one. I didn't like it; so he showed me four others before I chose one.

I suggest you inspect several before renting.

I have used a casa 5 terre web site. We booked our apartment through them for a trip last September. I had had a problem with a reservation on a previous trip. This time everything went beautifully. The man who runs the web site was very helpful- feel free to ask him any questions. Our apartment was what we expected. (one bedroom, 2 beds in main room, small kitchen and bathroom). It really worked out well for us. Just a couple of tips: It didn't work for me to use the e-mail form on the web site. I did a cut and paste on the e-mail address and sent from my hotmail. (I never heard back when I used the web site form) When you book, give an approximate time of arrival and tell them you will call 24-48 hours in advance to confirm. Because you did not pay in advance, that call tells the owner you will definately be there and when you are coming. Our apartment was simple, but adequate. (not luxurious) I thought some of the apartments in Manarola looked even better, but since we needed to be in Vernazza...next time. As far as reliability, they were 100%. It always makes me nervous when we don't pay in advance (will the owner really hold the place for us) but we had no problems. Have a great trip.

We also rented an apartment in Vernazza. We didn't get reservations (late September) for our family of five. We were offered a place at the train station. We checked it out but it was too small so we went to one of the hotels, told them what we were looking for and they gave us a great apartment (no view though) at a great price.
