We are planning to spend 2 or 3 weeks in Monterosso al mare in June 2011. We have found some "self catering" apartments to rent but we could use more recommendations. We are looking for an apartment that sleeps 4 in the old town on Monterosso. A view would be nice, but we are more interested in being in the old town and close to the locals.

We booked La Terrazze apt. with Arbaspaa.com. It is in the new town at the end of a wonderful alley. We enjoyed the large terrace that faced the beautiful hillside. Many locals live and work in that alley.
There is also one of the best places to eat on that
street. We were getting better meals there than the
more expensive places. We were there for 4 nights.
The day we left at 6:30 a.m. several of the locals
gave us hugs goodbye. We had lived as one of them
