Good Morning, To those of you who helped me previously with our itinerary - thank you. Upon reflection for our second week we've decided to base ourselves in Perugia instead of Bologna. However, apartments in the historical center that are suitable for for someone with difficulty for stairs and have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms seem in short supply. There are only three places on VRBO, non suitable. Has anyone used any other sites or would have other suggestions. We are two couples and two people have health issues that restrict stair climbing ability. Any help most appreciated! Thanks,
drc
In addition to VRBO I use Homeaway.com to find apartments. I am currently looking at places in two different regions in France and I have discovered that Homeaway has a lot more listings than VRBO does. Maybe you will find the same situation for Italy.
Excellent choice in Perguia! We just finished up living there for 6 months and found it a fantastic location for getting around Italy. We lived in the Centro Storico, but our place was top floor, with 52 steps up to the apartment. You might also like to try slowtrav.com for some ideas beyond the ones you'd find here on Rick Steves. We found our apartment by going to the University of Foreigner's website: http://www.cercalloggio-umbria.gov.it/?lingua=2 Believe it or not, I also actually tried Craigslist. Cheers,
David
Craigslist would make me nervous...
Me too on Craigslist. I felt good going through the University website. Cheers!
Thanks Andrea. I'll give them a try. Cheers
