Apartment sites for Rome rentals

I'd love to know if anyone has any suggestions for sites I may have missed. We are looking to rent a very-well-located 2BR with some kind of terrace for 13 days in Rome for Sept. 2022.
Here's what I've searched:
vrbo
airbb
booking.com
expedia.com
romelofts

Any other suggestions? We have a decent (but not over-the-top) budget. 2 couples. We are 3rd time visitors but my sister and her husband are 1st time visitors so we want to keep them near to the heart of center Rome.

Many thanks.

The above link is an example of how we each outside of the normal rental platforms to find accommodations. There are more resources to be found by using google to search for "English Italian newspapers" or "ex pat Italian websites", etc.
We have used similar searches for finding rentals in England, Spain and Croatia with good results. You will need to vet the opportunities for determining if the product advertised is as marketed and beware of requests for full payment prior to arrival. Legitimate landlords are swift an transparent on issues of payment, referrals and striving to meet your needs.
Good luck!

My idea of ideal location may be different from yours, but we loved this 2-bedroom apartment in Trasverere, on Piazza San Giovanni Della Malva, just steps from Ponte Sisto. We like to walk, and could walk to the Vatican in 30 minutes, or to the Forum area in a little more. Or we could take the tram line that runs from Trastevere to the historic center at Torre Argentina. Piazza Navona area was a bit further, but still walkable. We did use a taxi to return from Villa Borghese after walking there.

The apartment is very modern and nicely furnished—-the photos are accurate. The rooftop terrace has 2 levels. The kitchen is tiny, with little eating space, but we enjoy dining on the terrace anyway. There are a lot of steps, and the kitchen, the master bedroom/living area, and second bedroom are all on different levels. That might be a negative for some people, but we did not mind.

One problem with sharing it with another couple is the difference in size between the master suite and the second bedroom, and the bathrooms attached to each. Also, the access to the rooftop terrace goes through the second bedroom. But maybe with a long stay you could switch bedrooms halfway through, so you could each experience the benefits and the downside of each room.

We rented it on TripAdvisor, so I will post that link. It is also on Air BnB, but with a different host—-not sure what that means. Perhaps Lorenzo (who is a gracious host and lives in the adjacent apartment) got married after we were there in 2015, or maybe he listed the Malva Palace with an agent. It may be on VRBO as well.

BB: thank you. Eek...lots of translating - unless there is a link to read in English. But I emailed them to inquire.

Malva apt: thanks. Too modern for me - but thank you for suggestion.

All other suggestions welcomed.

Italy Perfect, same company as Paris Perfect, London Perfect. We have had great rentals and service from London Perfect so would try Italy Perfect.

I responded to your question on the TripAdvisor forum, but you may see this reply here first...
This is the apartment building we have stayed in several times...and which we have often recommended to others. Cristina is the manager...she is very responsive and great to work with. The location is wonderful...a short walk from Campo dei Fiori.

We have only ever stayed in the Blue Apt...we have friends and family who have also stayed in the Blue and in the Orange.

Unfortunately, only the 3 bed apartments have terraces...perhaps your budget will allow an extra bedroom?

ItalianWay has some nice places, though I’ve seen some of the same apartments on the other platforms such as AirBnB. Worth a look anyway.

Disclaimer - I have recently rented an apartment through ItalianWay but haven’t stayed at it yet, so I don’t have first-hand experience of their services and listings.
