Hi Lisa. You might have a look on www.viewsonvenice.com & www.trulyveniceapartments.com. I've been looking for an apartment and found quite a few on each web site that were within my budget and that looked nice. Some have canal views while some have garden or piazza views, etc. You can narrow down your search to whatever area you're interested in. I was mainly looking in the San Marco area. Have a wonderful anniversary in Venice; I couldn't think of a better place to celebrate a 30th anniversary!!!

Check out Venice Rentals (www.venicerentals.com), they speak English (one of the owners is American) and have a US phone number (Florida). Maurizio and Denise are great people...

We rented an apartment through Hotel d'Art. It was well located and quiet. The romantic part wasn't included in the apartment (no view and plain furniture) but comes standard in Venice.

Have been to Venice twice and rented apartments through vrbo.com. Very reasonably priced and lovely apartments.
