Apartment in Venice

Hi all, looking for an apartment in Venice for a couple of weeks May 2023 (yes, long range planning). Probably from say 15 May to 30 May, to pick up the Archi Biennale that opens on 20th May.
Thinking about Giudecca, as we have never stayed there before. We are very familiar with the Campo San Barnaba / Carmini / Santa Margherita / Frari areas, also San Giacomo.

But Giudecca, we have visited but never stayed there, so it’s an undiscovered world. Recommendations for an apartment would be most welcomed.

Casa dei Putti is fantastic…on Calle Lunga San Barnaba. Find on VRBO property 501639. 3 BR, 2 BA, washing machine, extremely clean, excellent host. Would stay here again in a heartbeat..

Thanks Laura for that recommendation. Interesting, in that we have stayed in an apartment just a few doors from there, 2878A Calle Lunga San B. That was our first long stay in Venice, just short of two months in 2008. So there was a tinge of nostalgia looking at the VRBO photos.
And now it’s time to explore a different part of Venice. A friend who lives in the campo behind the San Basilio vap stop recommends the fishmonger on Giudecca, so we are drawn there.

We stayed at this apartment in 2018. They have several apartment all on the same street. It’s just before the bridge to the Hilton Molina Stucky. We plan to stay in one of their apartments again in 2023. We loved staying on Giudecca, away from the hustle and bustle.

hey hey aussie
hope you find a great place. we stayed in a great apartment near the casino de vincenzia right on the canal, another one is san polo behind frari church.
the one travel4fun looks great, i would love to stay in that area also. best friend and i took vaporetto to the lido and walked down main street, santa maria elisabetta to the beach. so nice to see something different, stopped along the way watching kids playing, ladies sitting on benches, us having glass of wine talking with our hands with them and back to venice during sunset.
walking the back canals of canareggio, stopping at "garage sale" with senior ladies, having a great time and us all laughing, buying couple things, stopping at restaurant diana (my friends name ha ha) right on the canal, stopping to buy wine out of the pails shop owner has on the shelves, my first adventure in europe. what a blast.
