Could someone give me some advice/tips on finding an apartment or villa/farmhouse rental for 4 nights at the end of September in Tuscany, half way between Rome and Florence? We need a 2 bedroom, 2 bath at around $100-$200 per night, preferably with few stairs. Thank you.

I too would recommend vrbo.com. I have rented 1/2 dozen places and never been disappointed. Enjoy your trip!
