I am looking for an apartment for 2-3 people in the Trestevere area. Early April I have been on a couple of websites but
I always have great luck from people who have actually stayed. Thanks in advance TK

You can try Hotel Trastevere (do a google search) they are a small hotel, but also offer several apartments nearby. I have not used the apartments, but spent a week at the Hotel and will be again in February. We found them to be very good, a wonderful neighborhood, and helpful at the front desk.

We stayed in an apartment in Trastevere which we had located through Studio Fori Real Estate Agency. Google that agency or Google either Rome Rent Apartments or accomodationsrome.com. Our apartment was called Vicolo Bologna Studio. It was a nice place to stay although it took the owner 45-minutes to come and unlock the door and not the 15-minutes he said it would. Trastevere is a great neighborhood to stay in. It has excellent restaurants and a very lively street life. If you're there on a Saturday evening, be sure to check out the free music offering in the piazza near Santa Maria del Trastevere.
