When in Florence last November, we stayed at La Contessina (www.residenceinflorence.com). It was recommended by my daughter's professor as that is where she stays when she is there for a semester. We found it to be very comfortable - loft apartment, living area and kitchen available for a little extra if you choose to use it. Complementary breakfast offered which was very good. Owners were very nice and helpful. Our favorite restaurant was 4 doors down, Nerone's. Good location and we would certainly stay there again. Susan, Raleigh, NC

What is your budget, plus any must haves eg elevator, location etc? There is a wide range of prices and locations.
We are off to Sorrento next week to stay in a small apartment we last stayed in 10 years ago. Will let you know how we got on if you like.
