Looking for an apartment in Rome June 3-10. Location, in the heart of it all, walking distance, in # 1. Have you stayed there?
Thanks.
It's already late to be looking for the perfect place. I would try VRBO.com and specify something near Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. That is the magic area for my money.
Definitely late to be looking for the perfect apartment. This was our perfect apartment:
The larger apartment just next door owned by the same people:
Perfect location and I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was perfect.
Hey Tim - the larger one was our perfect apartment too!! Man I loved that place!! :)

How about the Trastevere area; pros and cons and thanks all for the above suggestions.
We are staying here. Looking at the calendar your dates in June are the only ones still open. The location is in Monti.
I chose this one based on the mutiple good review on slowtravel.com, the price and location.
We used Italyperfect for our Rome apartment. It was very, very nice, (not cheap, but a class outfit), There appears to be several 1,2,& 3 BR apts for your dates...It's a US based company (in CA, so you can actually call and speak to someone)

Kim, we rented the smaller of the 2 because the owners actually lived in the next door larger apartment at the time. They were a super nice family and their son was just a tot at the time. I guess he's all grown up by now. I couldn't believe how perfect the apartment AND the location was. We really lucked up on it as it was our very first apartment rental.
We stayed here and it looks like it's open for your dates: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/223154
It's on the small side, but it served the purpose we needed and was pretty central, right near Campo di Fiori. The host is really friendly and goes out of his way for you (arranged for a car pickup at 3 a.m. for the airport) and will provide good recommendations on where to eat (and he also advised that we go back and see all the sites at night).
