Apartment in Rome

I'm looking for a 2/2 apt. In Rome either close to the Spanish Steps or by Plazza Navonna area. Any ideas???

You might try the Slow Travel and/or Slow Europe websites. They both have reviews by forum members. You can also just google "vacation rentals rome". I have not rented in Rome, but have done so in several other countries and had great results. An apartment is so much more enjoyable than a hotel.....

You can also try vrbo.com. I've rented apartments in Florence and Venice through vrbo and have not been disapointed. Good luck.

In September, we stayed at the Palazzo Olivia apartments near Piazza Navona. I would recommend it. It's actually equal distance between Campo de Fiori & Piazza Navona. It's a few steps away from Corso Vittorio Emmanuele (where you can catch taxi's, buses, internet cafe, ATM/banks, etc.). There are different sized apartments available. We stayed in the Basilio apartment and it was spacious and comfortable. It had a little kitchen fully equipped, air conditioning which was quiet & worked perfectly, a ceiling fan in the bedroom, a little family room with a couch, t.v. & table. The best part is that the building also has an elevator so you don't have to climb several flights of stairs with luggage. We were on the 3rd floor & because the bedroom was on the inside of the building, we did not hear any street noise at night. There are numerous restaurants, stores, etc. right around the corner on a cute street. The location could not have been better! We loved the apartment and would definitely stay there again. Here is their web site:

Liz,
We were in rome a few weeks ago and used Rental in Rome for our apartment. Their site is at www.rentalinrome.com. They have a large inventory and we were impressed by the professionalism of their operation.

We just returned from Rome last night and stayed at a great apartment between Spanish Steps and Trivoli Fountain.
It was a large 1 br on the 6th floor with elevator and had 1-1/2 baths and a washer.
