We are heading to Florence for a week in August. We are travelling with our kids ( 18, 16 and 13) and love to rent an apartment for our base for the week. Any suggestions on which area would be best? We will be using as much public transportation as we can and would like to be in the city ( enjoy markets etc. ). I saw here that Windows on Italy was suggested as a great website for potential places.
