I'm driving from Milan to Susa with my son and his wife on April 25 wanting to go thru Mont Blanc tunnel and around to Susa. Do you think we will be ok snow or ice wise in the French Alps?

I'm driving from Milan to Susa with my son and his wife on April 25 wanting to go thru Mont Blanc tunnel and around to Susa. Do you think we will be ok snow or ice wise in the French Alps?
It should be doable but the mountain scenery will not be green. We went that route to stay in Annecy in mid May. At that time the valley floor was green and pleasant, but the high pastures were still brown and the sightseeing chairlifts for hiking hadn't started yet.
