Anyone want to share a ride to Hotel Ambasciatori from PMO Oct 4?

I am a solo traveler on the 11 day Sicily trip starting October 4 in Palermo. I contacted the hotel for shuttle service from the airport. Their response was they could set up a taxi service from PMO for a cost of €50. I am arriving from Rome at 11:10 AM. I’m only bringing a carry-on and personal shoulder bag. Anyone else arriving around that time that would like to share ride?

Most economical way is to take the airport bus to the train terminal in Palermo and the hotel is just a short walk away. Less than 10 minutes from the station.

Yes, take the shuttle from the airport to the train station and walk a few blocks to the hotel. Easy, and it's what I did as a single woman. Turns out 5 or 6 other people on my tour were on the same shuttle. The bus has storage underneath so easy with luggage.

EDITED TO ADD
I felt perfectly safe in Palermo, but if you still feel you would prefer a taxi, you might want to post in the tour section to get a few more eyes. Note that a tiny minority of tour people post or even seem to know about the forum.

Great question.
We are doing this tour in December and the airport to hotel transfer is a detail that I had not yet planned.
I have been using Google Maps a lot for planning pre-Sicily and post-Sicily hotels, transfers, etc. A trick that I learned is (in Google Maps) to enter either your starting address or ending address. When that address is identified, right click on the icon for the address and you will get a pop-up list of options - select 'Directions from here' or 'Directions to here'. Next, enter the address of the other address that you want to go to (or come from), and click on the icon. Google will then show you the route and other info including bus/train numbers, frequency, etc. You can even select the date and time you need. You can then zoom in on any part of the route and switch in and out of street view whenever you want (drag the yellow human icon from bottom right corner to the part of your route you want). Using this method, it shows that via Roma is directly opposite the bus terminal right outside the train station. When you first click on the human icon, Google highlights in blue, all the streets that you can 'get street' view on. You can use street view to advance all the way to the hotel and see exactly where you will be going. Lots more stuff in Maps but you need to experiment for yourself.

Have a great time in Sicily. We can't wait.

Point of interest: which ever way you chose to get from the airport to Palermo, you might want to keep your eye out for the huge tall, red obelisk on the highway at Capaci. It’s the site of a car bomb that killed anti-mafia magistrate Giovanni Flacone. It’s on the right side of the highway headed to Palermo. There’s a huge mural of he and Judge Borsellino in Palermo by the waterfront.
