HI: Hotels are so expensive, and I found the VRBO website. Some of the studio apartment prices are much more reasonable. Has anyone had experience with rentals from the VRBO website?

I've only used VRBO to rent places in the USA. But I have stayed in a fabulous, affordable, centrally located apartment in Rome that I will highly recommend:

We have used both VRBO and Venere many times over the 3 times that we have visited Europe. Both have been excellent in terms of value and ease of contact. When you use VRBO, remember that you are dealing with OWNERS and not VRBO itself.
