Anyone used coach service between LIN and MPX airports?

I will be arriving at Linate Airport (LIN) at the end of the month and need to get to Malpensa (MPX) after my flight. Meeting family flying in to MXP, then renting a car. A couple questions:
1. I'm arriving on a Saturday at 12:30. Any guidelines for how long customs might take at LIN?
2. Anyone have experience using the coach service between airports?
3. Do I need to pay online for a ticket or can I pay the driver before boarding?
4. According to the website, Malpensashuttle.it, the coach runs at 13:40 and the next is 16:30. 13:40 is great, but 16:30 puts everything out of wack and would make me seek another form of transport.
5. Rome to Rio shows Autostradale making multiple trips at various times and seems more flexible. Anyone used this service?
Thanks in advance!

You can take a taxi into Milan Cadorna Station, then Malpensa Express train to MXP.. Linate is not far from downtown while MXP is far outside..

Thanks Suki,
From what I've seen a coach is in the range of $15 for the whole trip. A taxi to Milan Central will probably be my choice if time becomes a factor. Crossing a major city like Milan takes time. I think the Malpensa Shuttle may be the most direct, but I'm thinking Autostadale is probably one bus stopping in central Milan and moving on to MXP.

Customs, zero time. If you are coming from within the EU, no customs. If from outside, you just walk through the "nothing to declare", door. It is a random check only, 95%+ are not stopped, takes all of 30 seconds to walk through.

Immigration (passport control) is what does take time. If you are coming from within the Schengen Area (note Schengen Area is not the same as the EU) there is no immigration, so zero time. If from outside, immigration could take 30-90 minutes depending on how busy they are.

Thanks Chris,
I figured somewhere in the 1 hour range. I have to run an errand in Linate Airport before I leave as well. I think the worst case scenario is a taxi to Milan Central and a bus or train to MPX which run pretty regularly.

The reason others recommend the train from Cadorna station is that it makes only 3 stops on the way to Malpensa, whereas the trains from Centrale make 7 stops, the first is a rather slow detour to Garibaldi station, so it is about 15 minutes longer journey. Both trains are the same price and go every 1/2 hour.
